Types of Mushroom plants
A.Freeon Based Plant
This type of plant is recommended for the production of small farms of about 200-300 kg. These devices operate fully automatically to precisely control temperature and humidity. This is a very compact system that can be installed at very small intervals.
B. Chilled water (Secondary Refrigerant) Cooling system
In this system, cooling is achieved by circulating cooling water through the air handling unit coils. PHE evaporators and IBT systems can be used in this cooling method. Ammonia is used as the primary refrigerant and automation of the system can also be accomplished.
C. Gravity feed (Direct Ammonia) system
This system is the most effective. In this system, the expanded ammonia liquid is directly supplied to the pressure regulating drum of the air treatment unit, and it flows in the coil by gravity. Since the expansion of the refrigerant occurs inside the AHU, there is no heat loss in the system. Therefore, the system provides maximum cooling with the lowest power consumption.
